Why IU
“Originally I chose Indiana University Bloomington for its Individualized Major Program (IMP) because I wanted to pursue Fashion Design but after taking some time off of school between 2008 and 2015, I later made the switch to Interior Design because of my newly discovered passion in architecture, along with my background in drawing, fashion and studio art. At the time I began college, it was the only university in the state of Indiana that offered a Fashion Design degree. I knew I wanted to take part of it!”
How Has 21st Century Scholar Program Helped You Succeed:
“The IU 21st Century Scholars Program has really helped me out both academically and financially. In particular, the department has helped me to obtain my U.S. passport through the support of IU OVPDEI. Because of their generosity and support, I have now studied abroad twice as a student at Indiana University, one in the Dominican Republic (2016) and the other in Spain (2017).”
Future Goals after IU
“After I obtain my bachelor's in Interior Design, I plan to continue my studies at Indiana University Bloomington and to pursue the newly approved Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) in the IU School of Art and Design.”
