Indiana Latino Expo
During the past eight years, the IU 21st Century Scholars Program and Indiana University has been a proud sponsor of the Indiana Latino Expo, one of the largest Hispanic/Latino cultural events in the country. Every October, representatives from the IU 21st Century Scholars Program and the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE) will be at the IU booth to help middle and high school students to sign up, check their enrollment status, and answer questions. There will also be opportunities for scholars to complete the Indiana Scholar Success Program requirements at the booth.
All prospective scholars were invited to attend the IU 21st Century Scholars Days in 2019 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for the 8th Annual 2019 Indiana Latino Expo. In 2020 the event was virtual. A three-part virtual series was offered to explore the benefits of the 21st Century Scholarship. High school students and their parents learned how to avoid common pitfalls, and participated in activities that fulfill ScholarTrack program requirements. Activities included watching videos, engaging with current scholars, IU alumni, and staff which helped students get on the right track for college and career success.
