How did you choose IU?
I chose IU because I saw how much support they provided my sister who graduated in 2022 and it inspired me to go knowing that the faculty and staff are very supportive in every aspect.
What was your transition from High School to College like? What were some of your obstacles? How did you overcome them?
The transition from high school to college was like the drop tower at Kings Island. I had to work out my "study muscle" that I didn’t originally have in high school. Organization was a huge skill I had to learn. Learning how to use and keep up with paper planners and calendars is what saved me early in college.
If you could give one piece of advice to your High School self, what would that be?
I would advise my high school self to get used to studying every day!
How do you think being a 21st Century Scholar has impacted your college experience?
Being a 21st Century Scholar had allowed me to have close and genuine resources and people who are willing to help me succeed. The 21st Century Scholars program at IU sends emails weekly during the semester that inform us about fairs, events, or anything for our community. That is helpful!
What is your proudest accomplishment since you began college?
My proudest accomplishment is simply making it to my 5th semester and counting!
What is an interesting fact about you?
I am the youngest of three girls and we are all first-generation students!
