Why IU
"I was attracted to the variety of classes and majors available at the IU Media School. The journalism program here is top of the line, where I can take numerous courses from many different disciplines and areas. There are so many ways to get involved beyond class, which is really important for me. I love being involved at IU and meeting students from across all areas of study. Off campus, IU Bloomington is a beautiful, diverse and exciting city to call home."
How 21st Century Has Helped You Succeed
“The IU 21st Century Scholars Program has helped me to focus on being a student leader and advancing myself towards my career. I can focus on acquiring numerous skills in my media courses, work part time, remained involved in extracurricular activities, and much more because the IU 21st Century Scholar Program has set me up to succeed. I am truly grateful for the program and the scholarship administered by the IU Office of Scholarships.”
Future Goals after IU
“I want to work in a newsroom making digital and alternative media packages to make news more accessible to a wide range of readers in both developed and developing countries.”
