Vincent E. Isom is Director of the IU 21st Century Scholars Program and Fellow of the IU Thomas I. Atkins Living Learning Center at Indiana University Bloomington. In his role, Vincent leads a team of 5 full-time student support services professionals who serves 3,000+ undergraduate scholars across the University's 16 degree-granting colleges and schools. Prior to his role, Vincent was Academic Advisor and Groups Coordinator of Upperclassman between 2002 and 2014 in the IU Groups Scholars Program at Indiana University Bloomington, and was previously Academic Advisor between 1993 and 2001 at Youngstown State University. Vincent holds an M.S. degree in College Personnel Administration from the IU School of Education and a B.S. degree in Public Affairs (Management) from the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Bloomington. He was the recipient of the "2016 Janice L. Wiggins Staff Academic Service Award" from IU Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies, the "2015 University Partner Award" from Inroads, the "2014 Faculty and Staff Student Choice Award" fromIUNeal-Marshall Black Culture Center, and the "1999 Edna K. McDonald Cultural Awareness Award" from Youngstown State University. Vincent is originally from Richmond, Indiana, and is a proud IU Groups Scholar Class of 1991 alumni.
