21st Century Scholars Day
Every April, the IU 21st Century Scholars Program and the IU Office of Scholarships hosts the annual “IU 21st Century Scholars Day” in the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) Alumni Hall at Indiana University Bloomington. During the event, high school scholars and parents are invited to visit our campus and take workshops about completing the Indiana Scholar Success Program prior to enrolling at Indiana University Bloomington in the Fall semester. Workshop topics include: a) Meeting IU 21st Century Scholar Program and Indiana Scholar Success Program requirements; b) Understanding income eligibility guidelines; c) Learning about careers and exploring career-ready websites; d) Understanding financial aid; e) Taking an on-campus tour; and f) Maintaining scholarship eligibility at IUB and tips for college success. The ultimate goal of these workshops is to provide pre-college scholars and parents with essential Indiana 21st Century Scholarship information and general on-campus resources to jump-start their path toward college and career success.
Our “2018 Annual IU 21st Century Scholars Day” will be held in April 2018 either on Monday or Friday. There will be two sessions offered. FREE breakfast and lunch, as well as parking, will be provided to all guests. The event is co-sponsored by the IU 21st Century Scholars Program, IU Office of Scholarships, IU Office of Admissions, IU Community Schools & Partnerships, IU Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVPDEI), IU Office of the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion (OVPDI), and the Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education. Scholars and parents are highly encouraged to stay in the IMU Biddle Hotel for a night and explore IUB and the City of Bloomington.
