How 21st Century Has Helped You Succeed

"Entering my final year at IU, the 21st Century Scholars Program has helped me to succeed tremendously both academically and socially at Indiana University. Not only has the scholarship provided me financial stability and peace of mind, but it has also opened up new doors to other amazing opportunities on-campus at IU. For instance, through the support of the IU 21st Century Scholars Covenant Summer Study Abroad Grants offered by the IU OVPDEMA Overseas Studies & Scholarship Program, I was able to complete a study abroad program through the IU India Gateway funded by the Provost and Executive Vice President of IU Bloomington Lauren Robel.

The opportunity to pursue education abroad in 2015 allowed me to acquire new knowledge and cross-cultural literacy skills in the field of India Studies and to discover what makes India the world power it is today, and why we need to know more about it, from its bloody birth in Partition to her ancient history and back to contemporary India. I cannot be more thankful to Vincent E. Isom and his staff in the IU 21st Century Scholars Office for enriching my student experience these past four years. Thank you IU Office of Scholarships for FULFILLING the PROMISE to support my dreams of a college education at Indiana University."
