Michael A. Jefferson II is Leadership Development Specialist in the IU 21st Century Scholars Program at Indiana University Bloomington. In his role Michael provides student development support to both the IU 21st Century Scholars Volunteer Corps and the IU 21st Century Scholars G.I.V.E. Back Program. Prior to joining our department, Michael served as a Teach for America (TFA) corps member for two-years in rural Mississippi and have most recently worked as a Chemistry Teacher in Memphis, TN at Shelby County Schools.

Michael is currently a first-year student in the dual-degree Master of Public Affairs (MPA)-Master of Science in Environmental Science (MSES) program in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Bloomington. He holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from Florida A&M University. Michael is originally from Indianapolis, IN, and is a proud alumni of Pike High School.
