Babita L. Upadhyay
Babita L. Upadhyay is Academic Advisor, Probationary Students in the IU 21st Century Scholars Program at Indiana University Bloomington. In her role, she advises students, provides academic case management, and spearheads academic strategies to move students from probation to good academic standing. Prior to joining our department, Babita served as special projects coordinator in the IU Office for Diversity Education between 2009 and 2016, and was previously program & administrative assistant in the IU Asian Cultural Center (ACC) between 2005 and 2009.
Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Babita has a B.A. degree in Political Sciences from the University of Hawaii and an M.S.Ed. degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Bloomington. She has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. Babita lives in Bloomington with her daughter and her husband Dr. Samrat Upadhyay. She currently sits on the IU Bloomington Professional Council (IUBPC).
