Marissa J. Cheplick
Marissa J. Cheplick is Leadership Development Specialist (Graduate Assistant) in the IU 21st Century Scholars Program at Indiana University Bloomington. In her role, Marissa advises high-risk populations (i.e., students with 2.00-2.30 GPA) and mentors scholars through the IU 21st Century Scholars Leadership Corps, a student-led organization primarily composed of Scholars dedicated to serving the Bloomington community. Prior to joining our department, Marissa served as Program Coordinator & Treatment Technician at the Northbound Treatment Services in Newport Beach, California between 2016 and 2018.
Marissa is currently a second-year student in the Master of Public Health (MPH) program where she focuses on behavioral, social, and community health in the School of Public Health (SPH) at Indiana University Bloomington. She holds a B.A. degree in Medical Anthropology from the California State University San Marcos. Marissa is originally from Falls Church, Virginia and is a certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance. During her free time, Marissa enjoys traveling, mental health and wellness, and visiting art galleries.
