Babita L. Upadhyay
Babita L. Upadhyay serves as an Academic Advisor in the IU Media School. Prior to her appointment, Babita was an Academic Advisor, Probationary Students in the IU 21st Century Scholars Program between 2014 and 2018 at Indiana University Bloomington. In her role, she advised and mentored over 300+ probationary students, provided academic case management, and spearheaded academic strategies to move students from academic probation to good academic standing. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Babita holds a B.A. degree in Political Sciences from the University of Hawaii and an M.S.Ed. degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Bloomington. She has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. Babita lives in Bloomington with her daughter and her husband Professor Samrat Upadhyay from the IU Department of English. She currently sits on the standing committee of the IU Bloomington Professional Council (IUBPC) and serves on the board of directors of the IU Asian Alumni Association.
