Founded in 1995, the IU 21st Century Scholars Program (IUB21CS), administered by the IU Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVPDEI), is the oldest and largest student support services department in the State of Indiana. The IUB21CS provide financial and academic resources to support, retain, and graduate thousands of 21st Century Scholars recipients at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB). As an IU 21st Century Scholar, you will have access to the academic guidance, mentoring, and advocacy support you’ll need to achieve your full potential at IUB. The IUB21CS is Ranked #1 in Indiana for the number of students receiving the 'first-dollar, full-tuition, need-based Indiana 21st Century Scholarship' at any four-year public or private university.

The Covenant

As a 21st Century Scholar at IU Bloomington, you will earn up to four years of undergraduate tuition, plus step-by-step guidance and support throughout your academic journey.  Additional funding is provided through the 21st Century Scholarship Covenant program to help Scholars pay for books, room and board, and other expenses.
